ABOUT ME
Boston Public Schools Educator
I (he/him/awesome) am a high school mathematics teacher at Edward M. Kennedy Health Careers Academy in Boston Public Schools (BPS). I will be teaching 9th-grade mathematics and serving as the Math Department Chair for SY '26-'27. I served as a Social-Emotional Learning and Academic Development (SEAD) Instructional Coach District Liaison, which is a mouthful, for BPS SY '23-'24. I previously taught math for 6 years at Charlestown High School and 4 years at Codman Academy Public Charter School. I am a former Teach Plus Commonwealth Teaching Policy Fellow, Educators for Excellence District Action Team member, and a Boston Teachers Union Building Representative for three school years. I strive to implement creative, engaging, and student-centered math curricula for my students. I have also presented at various educational conferences, and multiple Op-Eds have been published. For more info, click on the "Publications & Interviews" link above.
I earned a BS in Economics from Boston University in 2009 and an Ed.M in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction from Harvard Graduate School of Education (TTL, formerly TEP Program) in 2013.
My passions are performance-based poetry,
video games, mathematics, and my family.
